Madison Young (Greenburgh, NY/Woodlands HS) chipped in six kills and two blocks as the Westchester Community College Women's Volleyball team won their second consecutive match, 3-0 over Monroe-Bronx on Thursday night at Westchester Community College. With the win, the Vikings improve to 10-5 overall, and 10-4 in Region XV competition.
More impressively, with the 10-5 record, Westchester CC has clinched no worse than a .500 record for the 2018 season as the Vikings have five regular season matches remaining. WCC finished 7-13 one season ago.
It was a match that lasted just over an hour as Westchester dominated the match from start-to-finish, earning a 25-20, 25-19, 25-20 win that marked the Vikings' fourth sweep of the season. Westchester previously defeated Monroe-Bronx 3-1 on Sept. 18. WCC improves to 4-0 all-time against the Express.

Alysha Owens (Mount Vernon, NY/Mount Vernon HS) amassed three kills, two digs, and a block, and
Melody Pabon (Bronx, NY/Celia Cruz) added three kills and three digs.
Westchester returns to action on Tuesday, Oct. 9 when the Vikings travel to Sullivan Community College for a crucial 7:00 p.m. Mid-Hudson Conference/Region XV tilt. WCC swept Sullivan at home on Sept. 20.
