(Poughkeepsie, NY) - Freshman Jailine Ruiz (Bronx, NY/Bryant HS) scored 18 points and added seven rebounds and four steals, and freshman Tina Fabrizi (Mamaroneck, NY/Mamaroneck HS) added 12 points and three rebounds, but the Westchester Community College Women's Basketball team lost 72-51 to Dutchess Community College on Tuesday night at Dutchess. With the loss, the Vikings are now 1-5. 

After a 10-10 tie during the opening quarter, Dutchess settled in during the second quarter, and took a nine point lead at halftime. The Viking deficit was extended to double digits before a WCC run late in the third quarter made it a two-point game. However, foul trouble became an issue as the game wound down, and Dutchess was able to pull away. 

Westchester returns to action on Tuesday, Nov. 19 when the Vikings travel to Orange Community College for a 5:00 p.m. game. The contest will be the 2019-2020 Region XV opener for the Vikings.
