(Paterson, NJ) - Freshman
Tina Fabrizi (Mamaroneck, NY/Mamaroneck HS) scored a career-high 15 points, and added three assists, and fellow freshman
Donjeta Prelvukaj (Bronx, NY/St. Catharine) added 21 points and five assists, but the Westchester Community College Women's Basketball team fell to 2-7 with a 93-56 loss to Passaic Valley Community College on Saturday at Passaic.
Playing against an undefeated powerhouse program, Westchester became only the second team to score 50 or more points against Passaic this season, and the first team to score as many as 56 points in a game against the Panthers. This was in large part due to an outstanding second half of play, during which the Vikings played an even 21-21 third quarter, and battled over the final 10 minutes as well.
Aside from Prelvukaj's and Fabrizi's heroics, freshman
Jailine Ruiz (Bronx, NY/Bryany HS) turned in another fine game, scoring 13 points, while adding two assists and two steals.
Westchester CC returns to action on Sunday, Dec. 1 when the Vikings travel to UConn-Avery Point for a 1:00 p.m. start.
