(Ewing, NJ) - Freshman
Randy Culcay (Ossining, NY/Ossining HS) became the first Westchester Community College Track & Field Athlete to earn a victory in a heat, dominating the 1500-meter race with a personal best time of 4:37.55, and three other Vikings neared personal records, as the Westchester Community College Track and Field team enjoyed an outstanding performance at the TCNJ Lions Invitational on Saturday, April 27 at the College of New Jersey.
Culcay not only was one of the finest performers in the 1500-meter during an event featuring a slew of NCAA Division I, II, III programs, but he also competed in the 800-meter race, and turned in a personal record time of 2:21.79.

Travis Patterson (Yonkers, NY/Roosevelt HS) barely missed a personal record in the 800-meter, finishing his race in 2:19.52, freshman
Nestor Ortiz (Irvington, NY/Irvington HS) set a personal record in the 100-meter race with a 12.38, and freshman
Mark Naulaguari (White Plains, NY/Woodlands HS) earned a 5:17.24 in the 1500-meter event.
Westchester Community College returns to action on Saturday, May 4 when the Vikings travel to St. John's University for the Tom Farrell Classic. The event will be the final opportunity for any Vikings to earn individual qualification for the NJCAA National Championships, to be held from May 9-11.
