(Valhalla, NY) - During the three seasons since Westchester Community College brought back Women's Basketball, Westchester Community College did not score 100 points in a single game. As the Vikings' third season winds down, breaking the century mark is suddenly becoming a habit. Freshman
Jailine Ruiz (Bronx, NY/Bryant HS) notched her first career triple-double with 25 points, 12 rebounds, and 12 assists, and fellow freshman
Donjeta Prelvukaj (Bronx, NY/St. Catharine) added 30 points, six assists, and six steals, as the Vikings rolled past visiting Bronx Community College, 102-50 on Thursday night at Viking Gymnasium. With the win, Westchester CC has now reached .500 with an 8-8 overall record. Westchester CC began the 2019-2020 season with a 1-5 start.
The victory also marked the second straight time Westchester broke 100 points in a single game.
It was a game of raining three-pointers for Westchester CC as the Vikings converted a season-high 16 of them, including three straight to begin the game as Westchester jumped out to a 9-2 lead, and never looked back. Bronx did make it interesting as a pair of Bronco three-pointers with 4:57 to play in the first quarter made it a 10-7 game. However, from there, Westchester went on a 15-2 run to take a 25-9 lead. Westchester led 25-11 at the end of the first stanza.
For the second straight game, Westchester exploded during the second quarter. After scoring a season-high 37 points during the second stanza of a 107-46 win over Monroe-Bronx JV on Jan. 7, Westchester scored 35 points during the second 10 minutes of Thursday's game, to take a 60-25 lead into the halftime break. The second half saw much of the same.

Four Vikings ended the game in double figures as sophomore
Jada Tom (Elmsford, NY/Alexander Hamilton HS) scored 26 points, while adding six rebounds, six assists, and three steals, while freshman
