(Carmel, NY) - One year after leading the Westchester Community College Men's Bowling team to a 12th place finish at the NJCAA National Championships, sophomore Edward Aiken (Middletown, NY/Pine Bush HS) started his 2020 campaign right up his alley. The righty turned in the best performance of his career, averaging an incredible 214 over six games, to capture the Men's Individual Championship at the Blue & Orange Classic on Saturday, Jan. 18 at the Spins Carmel Bowl.

Aiken began the day with a career-best 240, and completed competition with a 670 series, to earn first place honors by one pin.

One day later, Aiken turned in a strong performance at the Westchester Invitational, averaging 169 over six games - a 498 series - to finish 17th in men's singles competition. The event took place at Farmingdale Lanes in Farmingdale, NY.

Westchester Community College returns to action on Saturday, Jan. 25 when the Vikings travel to Fishkill, New York for the Westchester Shootout at the Fishkill Bowl. One day later, the Vikings return to action at the Spins Carmel Bowl when they compete at the Westchester Classic.
