Box Score (Warwick, RI) - Freshman Kylee Taxiera (Ossining, NY/Ossining HS) scored a team-high 12 points, and sophomore Donjeta Prelvukaj (Bronx, NY/St. Catharine) added 11 points, but the Westchester Community College Women's Basketball team fell 78-46 to Community College of Rhode Island, the nation's 13th ranked team on Saturday afternoon at CCRI. With the loss, the Vikings are now 3-4 for the 2021-2022 season.

Facing a nationally ranked team for the fifth time in seven games this season, the Vikings played a spirited first quarter, as a back and forth stanza ended with Westchester trailing 22-14. However, the Knights responded by outscoring Westchester 26-3 during the second quarter, to take a 48-17 lead into halftime, and all but put the game away.

Westchester CC returns to action on Tuesday, Dec. 7 when the Vikings travel to Orange Community College for a 5:00 p.m. Mid-Hudson Conference/Region XV tilt.
