(Poughkeepsie, NY) – The post season arrived for the Women's Volleyball program on the eve of Tuesday evening as the Vikings were the number three seed in the Mid-Hudson Conference Tournament. Hosted by the eventual Tournament winners and the number 1 seed, Dutchess Community College, the Vikings took on the second seeded Senators of SUNY Ulster five days after seeing them in Viking Gymnasium for Sophomore Night October 13^th.

SUNY WCC came into Falcon Hall hungry for an upset over the Senators, however, they would ultimately lose the semi-final match 3-1 (16-25, 25-19, 21-25, 9-25). Westchester was powered by Sophomores Isabella Masucci (Valhalla HS/Valhalla, NY) who had 14 assists in the loss and Ireana Olivo (Maria Regina HS/Yonkers, NY) who contributed with 3 service aces and 14 digs. Freshman Sara Ortiz (White Plains HS/Elmsford, NY) and Gabriella Cresti Caetano (Yonkers HS/Yonkers NY) had 17 digs and 13 kills respectively against the Senators.

The loss does not eliminate Westchester from postseason play as they look to make some waves in the upcoming Region 15 Tournament! They will host Queensborough Community College in a 7pm home match tomorrow October 20^th! This will be the first time the Vikings host a Region 15 playoff match in Viking Gymnasium in over a decade!
