Steady As We Go! - McFadden & Co Use Balanced Attack to Beat Bronx

November 11, 2022

Valhalla, NY – Women's Basketball used points from all on the roster to emerge victories against Bronx on Thursday.  Contributions from both the starters and the bench combined for the 79-53 win.

Westchester jumped out to a 20-10 lead in the first quarter, helped by going 6 for 6 from the free-throw line.  In the 2nd, the Vikings shot 40% from the floor to extend a 40-17 lead by halftime.

In addition to getting contributions up and down the depth chart, the Viking scoring was well-balanced throughout the game, scoring almost exactly 20 points per quarter.  Adriana McFadden (Ossining, NY/Ossining HS) led SUNY Westchester with 25 points to go with 6 rebounds, 5 steals and 2 blocks.  Mylene Smith (Peekskill, NY/Hendrick Hudson HS) posted 16 points and 4 steals.  Amanda Entsuah (Bronx, NY/AIM Charter HS)and Irene Maris (Bronxville, NY/Tuckahoe HS) knocked down 8 points apiece and Shanice Wilcox (New Rochelle, NY/Mt. Vernon HS) continued her torrid start to the season on the boards as she secured 15 rebounds.
