Alex Korn (Pleasantville, NY/Pleasantville HS) pitched 3.2 outstanding innings in relief, but the Westchester Community College Baseball team closed the 2022 regular season with a 12-3 loss to Sullivan Community College on Monday afternoon at The Rock Baseball Stadium in Chester, New York. With the loss, the Vikings close the 2022 season with a 22-18 overall record, and 11-9 in NJCAA Region XV play.
Sullivan (18-19, 13-7) scored eight runs during the bottom of the first inning, and never looked back, en route to their 11th straight win. After Dolce's home run made it an 8-3 game in the fourth inning, the Generals scored a run during the bottom of the frame, and three more than the bottom of the seventh inning for the 12-3 final score.
Korn was outstanding after entering the game during the bottom of the first inning. He allowed one run on two hits, and walked only two batters over 3.2 innings.

Michael Ambrosecchia (Mahopac, NY/Mahopac HS) had a hit, and scored a run.
Westchester CC enters the NJCAA Region XV tournament as the #4 seed, and will face top-seeded Rockland Community College on Thursday, May 5 at 3:30 p.m. for the opening game of the double-elimination playoff. The game will take place at Westchester CC with the Vikings playing as the away team.
