Valhalla, NY – The Lady Vikings snapped their five-game losing streak with a 69-24 win over LaGuardia Saturday afternoon. They are now 6-13 on the season.
It was a team driven performance for Westchester lead by Sophomore
Adriana McFadden (Ossining HS/Ossining, NY) who recorded her ninth double-double performance of the year. McFadden had 15 rebounds, which was a career high for her, nine steals, and 20 points. She is now 10 points away from 600 career points. The Vikings were also assisted by a 13 point, 17 rebound performance by
Shanice Wilcox (New Rochelle, NY), and a 12 point game by
Irene Maris (Tuckahoe HS/Bronxville, NY) which was a career high and
Krismelis Melo (LaGuardia HS/Bronx, NY) respectively. Maris also recorded 11 rebounds and seven steals, also career highs for her.
Westchester put the game away early by holding the Red Hawks (2-14) to 12 first half points. LaGuardia was led by Shemiah Sealey who had 12 points.
The Vikings next game will be on February 4
th when they travel to UConn Avery-Point for a 12pm tip-off.
