Brooklyn, NY – The Vikings fell to regional opponents Queensborough and Kingsborough in Brooklyn on Saturday afternoon dropping Westchester to 7-8 overall.
Match #1: 3-0 L QCC
SUNY Westchester looked for revenge against the Tigers of Queensborough Community College after they bounced the Vikings out of the Regional Quarterfinal in a 5-set thriller back on October 20
th, 2022 in Viking Gymnasium. However, QCC came ready to play. The Tigers would take the match in three sets, 25-12, 25-18, and 25-15 over the Vikings. Westchester was led by
Julia Pawlowicz who had seven kills and four digs in the match.
Gabriella Cresti Caetano also contributed with six kills and 10 digs in the loss.
Match #2: 3-0 L KCC
In their second match of the day, Westchester would take on the host Kingsborough Community College. The Vikings couldn't put it all together against the Wave losing 25-9, 25-21, and 25-18. Cresti Caetano would lead the team in kills with seven and three kills in the three-set match.
Atalia Graham added eight digs and
Kristina Rodriguez added seven assists.
The Vikings travel up to Stone Ridge, NY today, October 16
th, to finish the regular season against SUNY Ulster. The match begins at 7pm.
