Edison, NJ – Men's basketball fell to the Colts of Middlesex County College Saturday afternoon 89-65 dropping the Vikings to 2-4 on the year.
It seemed like a slow start for the Vikings opening the first half scoring 22 points while the Colts scored 45 points breaking the game open early. Westchester would try to push for a comeback in the second half however, Middlesex would prevail and hold on for the win. SUNY WCC shot 38% from the floor including 37% from beyond the arc and 52% from the free throw line.
The Vikings were led by Freshman
Elijah Hernandez who had a team-high 13 points and six rebounds. Freshman
Aaron Nicholas added 12 points and 11 rebounds while
Josendy Nova added 11 points and five rebounds in the loss.
Westchester looks to a relaxing Thanksgiving week followed by a Conference/Regional match-up against SUNY Orange on Tuesday November 28
th in Middletown, NY. Tip-off will be at 7pm.
