After having their 3 game win streak ended last Thursday against Raritan Valley, the Westchester Lady Vikings looked to bounce back against Bronx Community College in a home game at Vikings Gymnasium. 

 

At Raritan WCC struggled for most of the game putting the ball in the basket but that play was left in New Jersey because when they returned home they put up a new season high in points, scoring 93 and beating Bronx 93-81. It wasn't the smoothest game for Westchester as they had the lead up to 30 2 separate times so credit the Broncos for hanging in the game and making it competitive. 

 

Freshman Saniya Bell(Ossining High School/Ossining, NY) had double-double and a new career high in points, scoring 37 and grabbing 12 rebounds in the win. Freshman Daveya Rodriguez(Beacon High School/ Beacon, NY) also added 18 points and Tiandra Martin(Mount Vernon High School/Jamaica) had her first double digit scoring game of the season as she had 11. 

 

It was a very well rounded game for the Lady V's and they will look to keep going this weekend as they head into two road games, one this Saturday against Bergen Community College in New Jersey and then Sunday they travel down to Maryland to take on Division 1, Baltimore City Community College. Saturday's game will be at 12:00 in Paramus and Sunday's game will be at 1:00 in Baltimore. SUNY WCC will hope to move into Christmas break with two more wins!!
