Each year, National Girls & Women in Sports Day is celebrated during the first week of February, recognizing the achievements and contributions of women in athletics. At Westchester Community College, we take this opportunity to honor the dedication, hard work, and impact of the women within the Athletics Department.
Within the academic year, we proudly welcomed two female administrators to our team- Faith Rowe, Associate Director of Athletics, and Jeanine Patsko, Athletics Academic Support Coordinator. Additionally, Samantha Champa, who has been a valued member of WCC Athletics since 2021, serves as Head Athletic Trainer and Senior Women's Administrator. Their leadership, commitment, and passion continue to elevate our program, and we are deeply grateful for their contributions.
We also celebrate the achievements of our female athletes. This year, our Women's Volleyball team competed in the Mid-Hudson Conference and NJCAA Region 15 Tournament. Looking ahead, we are excited to see the return of our Women's Basketball team, led by newly appointed head coach Bobby Rodriguez.
As we recognize National Girls & Women in Sports Day, we extend our appreciation to all the women who contribute to the success of WCC Athletics—on and off the field. Your dedication inspires future generations of athletes and leaders.
