Valhalla, NY- The Vikings took the pitch against Dutchess Community College on Thursday September 11th. It was intense early and the match had an edge but in the 19th minute Freshman Jorge Gonzalez opened the scoring with a goal and WCC took control from there.
They would pile on 4 more in the first half, including another from Gonzalez, two more freshmen, Dydronald Aulibrice and Celso Dasilva would also score in the half. Francesco Gigilo scored giving him goals in three straight matches.
Westchester wouldn't stop there as they scored two more in the second half. Dasilva also scored his second of the game in the 65th minute. However the goal of the day came in the 87th minute when sophomore Leo Olos Moura scored a banger from about 35 yards out. The Dutchess keeper had no chance as it flew into the top left corner.
WCC scored 7 in their win and have tallied 17 goals in their last two games. They will look to keep it rolling Saturday September 13th as they travel up to Ulster County as they take on the Senators in a Region 15 matchup.
