Valhalla, NY - To open up the second half the Lady Vikings headed down to Alumni Gymnasium in the Bronx to take on the Broncos of Bronx Community College. This was a rematch of the high scoring affair that took place on December 13th which had WCC winning by a score of 93 to 81.

 

This game would be a back and forth affair the whole way and the largest lead of either team would only be 8. 

 

Freshman, Saniya Bell(Ossining HS/Ossining, NY) was lights out in the first half, knocking down 5 threes in 7 attempts. She would finish the game with a double double, 27 points and 11 rebounds. 

 

However in the second half it was the Broncos who simply couldn't miss especially down the stretch. They hit their last 8 shots which led them to a 1 point lead with 5.8 seconds to go. The Lady Vikings would miss the game winning shot and lose in heartbreaking fashion. 

 

Things won't get any easier for Westchester as This Saturday they will take on Division 1 Harford Community College at 1:00 in Viking Gymnasium, Then following that will have a matchup with  #8 Union County College from New Jersey on Tuesday at home as well. Come out and support!!
