April 26, 2016 - Stone Ridge, NY
In the highest scoring contest of the year for the Lady Vikings, they were triumphant against Ulster on Thursday. The final score was 18-12 paving the way for a Westchester two-game winning streak to end its season.
From the first pitch to the last, the Lady Vikings were pouring it on. The team would go on to score runs in every inning of this contest. This was a true team effort where all but one player reached base safely.
Natalie Messina (Walter Panas HS) and
April Sepulveda (Saunders HS) led the offensive charge recording 5 and 4 hits respectively. In fact, the two players drove in 11 of the 18 runs. On the mound,
Natalie Messina pitched a solid complete game by allowing just 5 earned runs.
The Lady Vikings hope to build off a solid end to the 2016 season as they continue to develop the softball program. Look for updates for 2017 Softball season coming this fall.
