Box Score (Poughkeepsie, NY) -
Tremaine Fraiser (Port Chester, NY/Trinity Catholic) and
Raykwon Fenton (Bronx, NY/Holcombe Rucker HS) scored 27 points apiece, and
Maxx Miller (White Plains, NY/Mount Saint Michael) continued his fine recent play with 16 points as the Westchester Community College Men's Basketball team earned a 118-88 win over Dutchess Community College on Tuesday night at Dutchess.
With the win, the Vikings still have not been outscored by an opponent during 18 games this season.
It was a battle for quite some time as the teams went back and forth throughout the first half. As late as 3:15 remaining before the break, WCC clung to a 38-33 lead. However, a late Viking run gave the visitors a 51-37 edge at halftime, and Westchester did not look back from there. Early in the second half, a WCC run gave the Vikings a 59-40 lead, and the advantage blossomed to more than 30 points as Westchester broke the 100-point mark for the sixth time this season, including twice against Dutchess CC.
Pierre Lys (Greenburgh, NY/Woodlands HS) added 15 points for Westchester CC, and
Maurice Hollis (Bronx, NY/Tuckahoe HS) chipped in 14 second-half points, including four three-pointers.
After earning four straight wins on the road, the Vikings return home on Thursday, Feb. 1 when Westchester CC hosts Rockland CC at 7:00 p.m.
