Box Score (Warwick, RI) - Freshman Shanaya Jones (Bronx, NY/Health Opportunities HS) scored a team-high 19 points, 14 of which came during the second half of play, but the Westchester Community College Women's Basketball team lost 97-26 to Community College of Rhode Island on Saturday at CCRI. With the loss, the Vikings fall to 0-10 for the 2017-18 season.

Facing one of the toughest teams on their schedule, WCC fell behind 29-8 at the end of the first quarter and trailed 42-11 at halftime. As has been the case for much of the season, the Vikings played a much stronger second half, but were unable to make up the deficit.

Also having a strong game for WCC was Paige Collins (Jamaica, NY/Wadleigh HS), who had a team-high 12 rebounds.

WCC returns to action on Tuesday, Feb. 13 when the Vikings travel to face Sullivan Community College at 5:00 p.m. to open a doubleheader with the Westchester Men's Basketball team. After that game, WCC will play three of their final four games at home.
