Apr 7

Box Score (Valhalla, NY) - Westchester Community College opened a Baseball doubleheader on Saturday, April 7 with an 11-0 win over visiting Orange Community College. During the game, sophomore Nicholas Antenucci (Yonkers, NY/Stepinac) pitched a perfect game. The righty went the distance and struck out six Orange batters.

It was all WCC from the start as Westchester continued its hot hitting against SUNY Orange, scoring times during the first inning, including a three-run bomb by Jose Delacruz (New York, NY/George Washington HS) to close out the scoring. Westchester would then score two more during the second inning and four more during the fourth inning to put the game out of reach.

Scottie Giordano (Croton, NY/Croton-Harmon HS) went 1 for 2 with two RBI's and two runs scored, and celebrated the 100th hit during his outstanding career. Also for Westchester, Bobby Wootten (Ardsley, NY/Ardsley HS) went 2 for 3 with four RBI's and two runs scored, including a bases-load triple during the fourth inning that cleared the bases.
