Box Score (Middletown, NY) - James Houlahan (Yorktown Heights, NY/Lakeland HS) and Paul Franzese (Somers, NY/Somers HS) each doubled in a run during a third-inning rally, but the Westchester Community College Baseball team saw its three-game winning streak come to an end, losing 12-2 on Sunday to Orange Community College during a game played at Orange. With the loss, the Vikings are now 11-8 overall and 3-1 in both Mid Hudson Conference and Region XV play.

During the first three games of the four-game series, WCC outscored Orange 32-5 and won all three games, but on Sunday the Vikings were undone by one poor inning as the host Colts scored nine runs during the second inning to break the game open, and never looked back. Westchester scored both runs during the top of the third inning, but were unable to score again.

Scottie Giordano (Croton, NY/Croton-Harmon HS), Christian Lovecchio (North White Plains, NY/Valhalla HS) and Sean Vanegas (Bronx, NY/Mount Saint Michael) added a hit apiece.

Westchester CC continues Region XV play this week when they begin a four-game series with Ulster Community College on Thursday, April 12. The Vikings travel to face the Senators on Thursday and Friday before returning home for a doubleheader on Saturday at noon.
