(New York, NY) - Sophomore
Gabriela Faria (Yonkers, NY/Saunders HS) registered 16 kills and seven digs over two matches, and fellow sophomore
Jurnee Reid (Sleepy Hollow, NY/Ossining HS) added nine kills and 19 digs, but the Westchester Community College Volleyball team dropped both contests of a Saturday tri-match, losing a five-set thriller, 3-2 to BMCC, and getting swept 3-0 by Fashion Institute of Technology, the nation's 10th ranked team. Westchester won the opening set 28-26, before falling 24-26. The Vikings went ahead 2-1 with a 25-20 win in the third set before BMCC evened things 24-26 in the fourth set. The final set went back and forth before BMCC ended things with a 16-14 win.Â
