(Valhalla, NY) - Freshman Kylee Taxiera (Ossining, NY/Ossining HS) scored a team-high 12 points, and fellow freshman Mylene Smith (Peekskill, NY/Hendrick Hudson HS) addred nine points, five rebounds, and four assists, but the Westchester Community College Women's Basketball team fell to 1-1 with an 82-41 loss to Hostos Community College on Sunday during day two of the Johnny Jones Memorial Tip-off Tournament at Westchester CC.

Facing the #8 ranked Caimans, Westchester fell behind 22-7 after the first quarter, and trailed 43-18 at halftime, but continued to battle throughout the game.

Also for the Vikings, freshman Ireana Olivio (Yonkers, NY/Maria Regina) had eight points, while freshman Adriana McFadden (Ossining, NY/Ossining HS) added six points, six rebounds, and six assists.

Westchester CC returns to action on Thursday, Nov. 18 when the Vikings travel to Sullivan Community College for a 5:00 p.m. Region XV contest.
