(Brooklyn, NY) - Freshman Kai Parris (Bronx, NY/Riverdale Kingsbridge) broke the 20-point plateau for the first time in his career, and fellow freshman Omar Nkonde (New York, NY/Thurgood Marshall Academy) added 13 points, as the Westchester Community College Men's Basketball team broke a two-game losing streak with an 81-66 win over Kingsborough Community College on Saturday afternoon at Kingsborough CC.

With the win, the Vikings are now 7-3 for the 2021-2022 season.

Up 11-6 early, the Vikings went on a 16-3 run to take a 27-9 lead with 12:30 remaining in the first half. Westchester would stop the run right there, and took a 40-31 lead at halftime.

The Vikings opened the second half strong, ultimately extending the lead to as many as 23 points before earning their seventh win of the season.
