Stefania Rinaldi (White Plains, NY/Valhalla HS) recorded a career-high 32 assists, but the Westchester Community College Women's Volleyball team dropped a 3-2 heartbreaker to Dutchess Community College on Tuesday night in Poughkeepsie, NY. With the loss, the Vikings are now 2-4 overall, 1-3 in Mid-Hudson Conference play, and 2-4 in NJCAA Region XV competition.
Facing an upstart Dutchess team that has opened the season with a 7-0 record, the Vikings were outstanding during the opening set, winning 25-17. However, the Falcons battled back to tie things with a 25-19 win during the second set. Westchester pushed Dutchess to the brink with a 25-21 win in the third set, but the hosts closed out the match, winning the final two sets 25-22, and 15-10.

Mikaelyn Hannon (Yonkers, NY/Peekskill HS) had a team-high 15 kills.
These two teams will do it again on Thursday, Sept. 30 when Westchester hosts Dutchess at 7:00 p.m.
