VALHALLA, N.Y. – Phil Toscano and the Westchester Community College women's volleyball team is preparing for the start of a new season as the defending Mid-Hudson Conference, Region 15, and North Atlantic A District champions.
After making history by earning the program's first appearance in the NJCAA Division III National Tournament, the Vikings enter the 2026 season determined to continue building upon one of the most successful campaigns in program history.
Westchester once again faces a demanding schedule that includes familiar conference rivals Dutchess Community College, Orange County Community College, and Rockland Community College. The Vikings will meet each program twice during the regular season as they begin their quest to defend their conference and regional titles.
The schedule also features several challenging non-conference contests against Monroe-Bronx University and the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT), providing the Vikings with valuable opportunities to test themselves against some of the strongest programs in the region.
Although five starters graduated following last year's remarkable campaign, the program remains focused on maintaining the championship standard that has been established in recent seasons. A new group of student-athletes will now have the opportunity to carry the program's success forward while creating a legacy of its own.
The Vikings understand that returning to the national stage will present a new challenge, but the expectations surrounding the program have not changed.
With another demanding schedule ahead, Westchester will once again pursue a Region 15 championship while striving to become the last team standing when the season comes to an end.
The journey back to the national tournament begins now.
