(New York, NY) – On Saturday October 8
th, the Vikings traveled down to Pier 20 to take on regional opponent Borough of Manhattan Community College where they took a 3-0 loss. Westchester out shot the Panthers 23 – 17 however, could not find the back of the net.
BMCC scored in the 3
rd minute to take the early lead over SUNY WCC and they never looked back. The Vikings were lead by
Brian Cifuentes (Lincoln HS/Yonkers, NY) with 2 shots on goal.
Michael Echeverria (Mamaroneck HS/Mamaroneck, NY),
Eduardo Vazquez (White Plains HS/White Plains, NY),
Alabdiel Hernandez (Ossining HS/Ossining, NY), and
Romaine Swaby (Mount Vernon HS, Mount Vernon, NY) added 1 shot on goal each as well.
With the loss, SUNY Westchester falls to 6-7 overall, 6-4 in Region play. They will travel to Rockland CC in their final regular season match on Tuesday October 11
th at 4pm before getting seeded for postseason play.
