Valhalla, NY – Women's basketball fell to Passaic County College 69-59 Tuesday evening at Viking Gymnasium. The loss brings the Vikings to a 1-3 overall record on the 2022-23 season.
Turnovers were the biggest stat for the Vikings in their third loss of the season. Westchester matched a program record from 2021 with 44 turnovers while the Lions only committed 6.
The Vikings ended the first quarter only down 14-11. They would eventually take the lead in the second quarter 17-14 two and a half minutes in. From there Passaic would lock down on defense, take back the lead from Westchester and never look back. The Lions were led by a 33-point game from Sabrina Defreese.

Mylene Smith (Hendrick Hudson/Peekskill, NY) who had 15 points and 6 rebounds.
The Vikings return to action on Saturday November 19
th when they travel to Raritan County Community College for a 1pm game.
