Kai Parris (Bronx, NY/Riverdale Kingsbridge) added 12 points as the Westchester Community College Men's Basketball team won for the second time during its last three games, 62-58 over Rockland Community College on Tuesday night at Rockland CC. With the win, the Vikings are now 9-6 overall, and 3-2 against NJCAA Region XV and Mid-Hudson Conference competition.
Westchester has now outscored Rockland CC at least 10 straight times, dating back to prior to the 2012-2013 season. Rockland led 55-54 with 4:27 to play, but the Vikings outscored the Hawks 8-3 the rest of the way to secure the win as Jonathan Blumrick (Cortlandt Manor, NY/Heights HS) hit a key basket with 30 seconds to play, and freshman
Thomas Hoffman (Bronx, NY/Cardinal Hayes) hit a free throw with seconds remaining.

Westchester CC returns to action on Thursday, Feb. 3 when the Vikings host Sullivan Community College at 7:00 p.m. The game will take place at the Victory Hall Sports Center on the campus of Mercy College in Dobbs Ferry, New York. Spectators will not be allowed into the Mercy College Gymnasium.
