(Garden City, NY) - Three Vikings scored in double figures, and freshman Kai Parris (Bronx, NY/Riverdale Kingsbridge) scored 19 points, but the Westchester Community College Men's Basketball team ended the 2021-2022 regular season with a 61-59 loss to Nassau Community College on Thursday night at Nassau Community College. With the loss, the Vikings close the regular season with a 10-11 record. 

Freshman Nokio Kennedy (Yonkers, NY/Palisade Prep) added 14 points, while freshman Edward Bequiri (Yonkers, NY/Stepinac) added 10 points. 

Also for the Vikings, freshman Omar Nkonde (New York, NY/Thurgood Marshall Academy) grabbed 10 rebounds, while sophomore Jonathan Blumrick (Houston, TX/Heights HS) had 11 boards.

Westchester CC has qualified for the 2022 NJCAA Region XV Division II Championship Tournament. The third-seeded Vikings will face either Sullivan Community College or Orange Community College in the semifinal round on Saturday, Feb. 26. The game will be played at Westchester Community College at a time to be determined.
