Suffern, NY – The Vikings continued to roll last night with a 3-0 win and a season sweep over Rockland Community College. Westchester is now 7-5 on the season.
The Vikings took the three-set match 25-12, 25-9, and 25-22 over the Hawks. Defense was clearly a sticking point for SUNY WCC with 27 total digs and 12 blocks. Westchester would get 21 kills in the match, nine coming from Sophomore
Gabriella Cresti Caetano and seven from
Julia Pawlowicz. Both Pawlowicz and Caetano would add two service aces in the victory. Sophomore
Naina Thomas would add 13 assists on the evening.
Westchester looks to continue their hot streak with their final home game of the regular season tomorrow against the Senators of SUNY Ulster. It will be the Vikings Dig Pink Night as well as their Sophomore Night where eight sophomores will be honored for their hard work and dedication to the Program. The festivities will begin around 7pm with the Volleyball match starting shortly thereafter.
