Selden, NY – Women's Basketball was unable to secure a non-region victory on Saturday as they struggled to keep up versus Suffolk, falling 62-42.  Overall scoring was the main issue as after a competitive 1^st quarter, the team's ability to score faded in the 2^nd, digging a hole they were unable to recover from. 
After one, the Vikings and the Sharks were knotted at 15 points apiece, but Westchester only posted 6 in the 2^nd, leading to a 13 point deficit going into the locker room at the half.  From there Westchester was unable to close the gap as the Sharks pulled away. 
Shanice Wilcox, (New Rochelle, NY/Mt. Vernon HS) lead all scorers with 13 points to go along with 10 rebounds.  Adriana McFadden (Ossining, NY/Ossining HS) chipped in 10 points and 3 steals but was forced to leave the game early due to injury. 
With the loss the Vikings fall to 6-16 on the season and 1-2 in conference play.  They return home to host Essex on Tuesday, February 14^th at 5pm for Sophomore Day.  Tip-off is at 5pm.
