Valhalla, NY – Westchester's Baseball team bounced back from a loss earlier in the week to earn a convincing victory against Suffolk on Thursday, winning 11-1 in 7 innings.  On a cold windy day the Vikings scored 3 in the 2^nd inning and didn't look back from there in what was their last game prior to the team's Florida trip.

The Sharks put up a run in the top of the 3^rd inning to bring the score to 3-1.  WCC then scored 2 in the 4^th, 3 in the 5^th and 3 in the 6^th to put the game away.  Gavin Carlucci (Garrison, NY/Walter Panas HS) led the Vikings going 1 for 4 with 2rbi's.  Luisbert Frias (Port Chester, NY/Port Chester HS) was 2 for 3 on the day. 

Ryan Osso (Eastchester, NY/Eastchester HS) pitched a strong game going 6 innings giving up just the one run with 3 strikeouts.  John Peteani (Yonkers, NY/Saunders HS) took over in the top of the 7^th to toss a scoreless frame to end the game. 

The win brings the Vikings' record to 9-2 on the season.  They return to action on Monday, March 13^th at 9:30am where they'll take on Praire State College for a double-header at the Russmatt Invitational in Winter Haven, Florida.
