Paramus, NJ – The Vikings took home their third victory of the season on Thursday September 21
st over Bergen Community College 3 to 1.
The Bulldogs (1-4) would get on the board early with a goal in the second minute of the game. From there the Viking defense would hold strong for the duration of the game. Westchester would tie the game up in the 19
th minute thanks to a
Lorenzo Santucci goal. The Vikings would outshoot Bergen 13-5 in the first half.
In the second half the SUNY Westchester offense would explode thanks to
Handell Dos Santos. Dos Santos would score the go-ahead goal in the 51
st minute and add an insurance goal in the 77
th minute to solidify the win.
Nicholas Nunez would save seven shots on the day. Andrik Palma would have four shots on the day followed by
Alabdiel Hernandez's three shots.
Westchester looks to host Conference/Regional foe SUNY Orange tomorrow, September 26
th, for a 4pm match on Barrett Field.
