Douglas Bowles took home second place in both the Men's Singles and All-Events in the Region 15 Championship Saturday afternoon.
In the singles event, Bowles would score a 232 in his first game, only four pins behind Suffolks Seth Knipe. In his second game, Douglas would bowl a 217 giving him a total of 449 pins and averaging 224.5 for the two-games. Suffolks Knipe would bowl a 240 and take first place with a 476-pin count.
As for the All-Events, Bowles would bowl a total of six games averaging 211. He would start off slow bowling a 160 in game one but picked it up in game two scoring a 228 which would be the top score for that round. In game three and four, Douglas would bowl a 232 and 217 helping him stay in second place. In his final two games, Bowls would score a 196 and 235, which was his series high, giving him a total of 1,268 pins. Seth Knipe would once again edge out Bowles for the top spot totaling 1,362 pins and averaging 227 per game.
The team looks to their final match-up as they travel out to Lansing, Michigan to participate in the NJCAA National Bowling Tournament beginning on February 29
th and concluding on March 2
