Box Score Loch Sheldrake, NY – The Vikings upset the #1 seeded Generals of SUNY Sullivan in the Semi-Final match of the Region 15 Tournament Saturday afternoon by the score of 79-72.
 
Westchester, who was seeded fourth in the tournament, came into the game looking to upset the Generals on their home court, a feat that few teams have done at the Paul Gerry Fieldhouse. The Vikings last won at Sullivan's home court back in 2018 when they beat the Generals in overtime 78-76.
 
Led by Sophomore Yenfry Paulino who had a game high 25 points, SUNY WCC would go onto defeat the top seed and play in their first Region Championship game since the early 2000s. Wyatt Triestman would add 18 points in the victory while Yave Cruz and Elijah Hernandez would combine for 28 points on the afternoon.
 
Westchester will face the number two seeded Colts of SUNY Orange in the championship game Sunday March 3^rd at the Paul Gerry Fieldhouse in Loch Sheldrake, NY.
