Purchase, NY – The Vikings extended their win streak to five games with a 9-2 victory over Manhattanville University's JV team yesterday afternoon.
 
On what was not only a rare Monday game for SUNY Westchester, the game, slated to originally start at 4pm, was delayed due to the Solar Eclipse sweeping through the United States. The Vikings would be unfazed getting on the board first putting a five spot in the top of the first. With that, SUNY WCC's starting pitcher Michael Dawson would be able to cruise through his six-inning performance allowing one earned run while scattering five hits and striking out five.
 
The Viking offense would be led by Tommy Poggi who went three for five with two triples, an RBI and two runs scored. Marc Stockhausen went two for four with a double, RBI, and two runs scored. Gavin Carlucci, Thomas Wilson, and Mike Kocovic also added two hits on the day.
 
Westchester looks to continue their hot streak with an away match-up against Suffolk Community College on Wednesday April 10^th starting at 4pm. Game will be played out in Selden, NY.
