Valhalla, NY - Bobby Rodriguez has been named as the Head Coach of the Women's Basketball team. No stranger to Westchester, he was a two-year starter for the Vikings baseball team from 2009 & 2010. He went on to continue his career for Post University. After earning a degree in Sports Management he went on to teach and coach in the Pawling School District.
"I am honored to be named as the next head coach of the Women's Basketball team at WCC", Rodriguez said. "I look forward to building our team for the 25-26 season and beyond and I can't wait for the season to start". Director of Athletics Mike Belfiore said "Bobby's drive and dedication to our program is something you don't come across everyday. He is relentless in his pursuit of student-athletes who fit our mission because as a former player here, he believes in and values how our program positively impacts young people".
During his time at Pawling, he coached girls basketball and baseball, serving both the JV and Varsity basketball teams for 8 years. He also has coached at numerous prospect camps, including the Teaches Hoops camp, along side NBA stars J.R. Smith, David Lee, Langston Calloway, Steve Novac, Mason Plumlee and Tim Hardaway, Jr.
Bobby has been a member of the baseball coaching staff since 2019. After a brief stint coaching at Iona University, he now enters his 5th season with the Vikings baseball team as Associate Head Coach, a role in which he will continue to serve in. Rodriguez also has been named as Athletics Operations Assistant, joining the administrative staff. He currently resides in Carmel, NY.
