Yesterday, the Vikings played Dominican University, hoping to bounce back from their previous game against them, where they lost by 2 points. Unfortunately for Westchester, they were unable to defeat the Chargers. 

Building off their confidence from last game, the Chargers immediately began the scoring with two runs in the first inning. In the third, they added another two runs. In the bottom of the third, Westchester got themselves on the board with two runs. In the fifth and sixth innings, Dominican University dominated by adding seven more runs to their score. Attempting to catch up, Westchester added three more. The rest of the game was quiet for the Chargers, while WCC added another two points. Still, the strong lead from Dominican in the beginning was too big for the Vikings to recover. The game ended with a score of 11-7.

For the Vikings, Anthony Mante went 2 for 3 with 2 runs. Freddy Heymach also contributed 2 runs this game. Each adding one run each to WCC's score was Jhonny Ortiz, Luke Friscoe, and Elijah Villanueva. 

Tomorrow, the Vikings are hoping to get their momentum back as they play Orange County Community College in a doubleheader at 1:00pm and 3:30pm in Middletown, NY.
