This Friday, Westchester faced Orange County Community College in a doubleheader and came home with two wins.
The first game started out strong for the Vikings with eight runs in the top of the first. In the bottom of the first, the Colts were able to get a run past WCC. Westchester finished with 31 runs to Orange County's 2. The Vikings were led by Freddy Heymach who had an impressive game as he got a cycle and went 5 for 5, with 5 runs. Following Heymach with four runs each were Nick Vendola, Jhonny Ortiz, and Elijah Villanueva.
In the next game, Westchester would start the scoring off with two runs in the second inning. The Colts would get a run in the bottom of the third, attempting to catch up with the Vikings. WCC would add another two runs in the top of the fifth, as did Orange in the bottom of the sixth. Neither team would score in the final inning, giving the victory to Westchester, 4-3. Pitching this game was Vasilios Kelesidis with seven strikeouts and only 1 of 3 runs being earned.
