Damian Broadwater enters his eighth season as an Assistant Coach at Westchester Community College, continuing an impressive coaching career in Region XV. Over the past two decades, Coach Broadwater has become a key figure in the development of basketball programs, especially within the CUNYAC and Mid-Hudson leagues.
From 1992 to 2013, Coach Broadwater served as an Assistant and Associate Head Coach at Queensborough Community College. During his tenure, he helped lead the Tigers to a remarkable ten CUNYAC Championship games, with six championship victories, including five consecutive titles from 1994 to 1998. He contributed to the Tigers achieving 20+ wins five times, a testament to his coaching acumen and ability to help build competitive teams.
Following his time at Queensborough, Coach Broadwater worked alongside former Westchester Community College Head Coach Sean Kelly, first at Bronx Community College, and then again at Westchester CC. His four seasons at Bronx CC were followed by another four seasons at Westchester CC, where he contributed to the growth and success of both basketball programs.
Now, in his third season with Head Coach Andre Pennicooke at Westchester CC, Coach Broadwater continues to play an integral role in shaping the team’s strategies and player development for the 2024-2025 campaign.
