Alfio Carrabotta

Since his appointment as head coach, Alfio Carrabotta has propelled Westchester Community College to impressive heights, leading the Vikings to three Mid-Hudson Conference Championships and four appearances in the NJCAA Region XV Semifinal Round. Under his leadership, the team has consistently achieved national ranking, showcasing their prowess on the field.

Carrabotta's tenure has been marked by numerous individual accolades for the players, including All-Conference honors, Conference MVP titles, and distinctions as both first and second team All-Region selections. Notably, two players have attained the prestigious NJCAA All-America honors, reflecting the high level of talent developed under his guidance. Additionally, Carrabotta has successfully assisted several athletes in advancing their education and soccer careers to Division II and III institutions.

A resident of Briarcliff Manor, Carrabotta brings a wealth of experience to the Vikings. He previously coached at Eastchester High School for an impressive 34 seasons as the Head Boys' Soccer Coach, amassing over 300 wins. His coaching legacy continues with 23 successful seasons as the Head Girls' Soccer Coach and involvement in various other sports. Carrabotta served as a Physical Education Teacher in the Eastchester Union Free School District from 1983 until his retirement in 2021.

Carrabotta’s passion for soccer began as a young boy, where he eventually went on to play at St. Francis College, where he played a key role in leading the Terriers to the 1978 MAAC Championship. He holds a Master’s Degree in Physical Education from Southern Connecticut State University, solidifying his expertise in both coaching and education.
