UPDATED - May 8th, 2017
Baseball was supposed to make the trip to Ulster on Sunday, but inclement weather in the area forced the double header to be moved to WCC. As the teams played through the rain drops, WCC came out on top of game one, winning 13-6.
The Vikings got on the board early and often as they scored two runs in the first and three in the second. Scottie Giordano (Croton Harmon HS/Croton, NY) was back at in again at the plate as he hit a bases clearing triple in the 2nd inning to give Westchester a 5-1 lead.
Nick Cona (Walter Panas HS/Cortlandt Manor, NY) got the start for the Vikings and pitched strong for the first five innings giving up just one run. But the rains came in the 6th and Cona struggled a bit with the slick conditions as he gave up three more runs to the Senators.
