Brian Guaman (White Plains, NY/White Plains HS) made six saves, but the Westchester Community College Men's Soccer team closed the 2021 regular season with a 2-1 loss to Bronx Community College on Wednesday afternoon at Bronx CC. With their second consecutive loss, the Vikings finish the regular season with a 5-5 overall record, and 5-4 in NJCAA Region XV play.
Torres opened the scoring at 22:47 after a spectacular individual effort, but from there, Westchester would struggle on the offensive end throughout the game. Bronx (4-3, 4-3 Region XV) tied the game 1:23 after Torres's goal, and from there, play evened out for a long stretch. However, Bronx scored at 69:57 to clinch the win.
Westchester Community College returns to action on Wednesday, Oct. 20 when the Vikings travel to the Mid-Hudson Conference Championship Game. The Vikings will face top-seeded Ulster Community College at 6:00 p.m. The game will be played at Rondout High School in Accord, NY.
