Lakeland, FL – The Vikings ended their very successful Florida trip with a 12-0 win over Holyoke Community College. The win puts Westchester's record at an astonishing 18 wins and two losses.
The offense continued their hot hitting pounding out 10 hits in the seven-inning game led by freshman
Marc Stockhausen (St. Raymonds HS/Bronx, NY) who had a team high four hits including two runs scored and an RBI. Not to be outdone, Sophomore
Patrick Poggi (Briarcliff HS/Briarcliff, NY) would have a day of his own going two for three with a double and a triple adding two RBI's.
Michael Ambrosecchia (Mahopac HS/Mahopac, NY) would seal off the Viking victory with a three-run blast over the right field fence. Starting pitcher
Thomas Mark (Brewster HS/Patterson, NY) would earn his second victory of the year throwing five innings of two-hit ball and striking out four.
Westchester heads back home to New York receiving votes in the NJCAA Division 2 national poll and will take on Sussex County College on Tuesday March 21
st who are also receiving votes.
