Tommy's On The Mark! Browne Throws Seven In Comeback Win Over Sullivan

Loch Sheldrake, NY – The Vikings continued their hot streak on Friday with a 14-7 win over Mid-Hudson Conference foe Sullivan Community College putting Westchester at 31-3 on the year, 6-0 in Conference play, and with a 13-game win streak.

SUNY WCC was down 5-1 early in the nine-inning game but in true Viking fashion, that didn't last very long. The offense would explode with seven runs in the top of the fourth to put Westchester ahead and another four runs in the fifth to break open the game 11-5. The Vikings were led by Matt Antolino (Fox Lane HS/Bedford, NY) and Michael Ambrosecchia (Mahopac HS/Mahopac, NY) who had three hits each. Ambrosecchia would also add three RBI's and three runs scored while Antolino would contribute an RBI and two runs scored. Weston Baronian (Pascack Valley HS/River Vale, NJ) had a two-hit day along with three RBIs. Alvy Grullon (St. Raymond's HS/Bronx, NY) scored three runs on the day and had a two-hit performance.

On the mound for Westchester was Thomas Browne (Pleasantville HS/Pleasantville, NY) who would earn his seventh win of the year, tying him with Osso for the team lead. Browne would go seven and a third innings striking out six Generals and walking one on the day. Thomas Mark (Brewster HS/Patterson, NY) would finish the game in an inning and two-thirds work, striking out one and not allowing a hit.

The Vikings look to finish their series against the Generals tomorrow, April 15th, at home for a noon doubleheader at Vikings Field.
