Valhalla, NY – Safe to say that Men's Soccer has had their most successful season in program history with yet another win coming yesterday afternoon against perennial regional powerhouse Suffolk Community College by the score of 1-0.
The first half saw both teams trading away possession while the Vikings would edge the Sharks in shots 6 to 3. Suffolk seemed to control the ball more than Westchester however both teams would be defensively sound throughout the half.
The second half saw much of the same from both teams until the 81
st minute when the Vikings
Christian Antunez would score a beautiful go-ahead goal assisted from both
Francesco Gigilo and
Zane Bramson.
Jonathan Bautista would be stellar in goal saving five Suffolk shots.
Westchester has seemed to solidify at least a top-4 finish in the regular season with one more regional game which is to be played this Saturday at 1pm against Borough of Manhattan Community College. The match will be played at Pier 40 on the West Side of Manhattan.
