On Tuesday, the Westchester Vikings arrived in Loch Sheldrake, NY to face Mid-Hudson Conference foe, SUNY Sullivan. After a strong performance of offense, and determined defense, the Vikings took home the win, 101-67.
Westchester Community College had four players scoring in the double digits. The team was led by Elijah Hernandez with 30 points, followed closely by Chris Kirkland with 26 points. Just behind them was Mujahid Dine Yacoubou with 18 points and Robert Bori with 13 points. Both Yacoubou and Bori earned themselves double-doubles with 22 and 12 rebounds, respectively.
The players of WCC were up by 23 points in the first half, feeling good as they headed into the locker room. In the second half, Westchester put up another 50 points, while the Generals added another 39. With this Vikings victory, their Mid-Hudson Conference record now stands at 4-3.
