After a big win from Westchester earlier in the day, they went into the next game feeling confident. Their perseverance showed, and they earned themselves another win, 9-3 over Massasoit.
The Vikings got off to a fast start in the 2nd game as Lucas Feliciano opened the scoring in the bottom of the first with a home run. This would be his 2nd home run in as many days. The momentum continued as the Vikings scored six more runs in the second to extend the lead to 8-0. Massasoit got on the board with two runs in the third and one in the 4th. However, WCC added a run in the bottom of the fourth to extend their lead to 9-3 for good.
Mike Tiseo went 2 for 3 with an RBI. Feliciano was 1 for 4 with 2 RBI. Peter Portuges was 1 for 3 with 2 RBI. Owen Tyler notched his first win for the Vikings pitching 6 innings giving up just 3 hits and 2 earned runs.
The Vikings have no time off as they will play Genesee Community College tomorrow, March 18th, at 1PM and then the University of Connecticut at Avery Point at 4:15PM.
